August Events: Geneva, NYC & Bern Pride

UN-GLOBE has some exciting events coming up in August!

UN GLOBE – PRIDE Bern

UN-GLOBE invites you to march with us at Pride Ouest Bern (Switzerland) on August 26, from approximately 4PM to 5PM.

The march in Bern will be different from traditional Pride processions celebrating equality and inclusion for LGBTI people. Instead of one long march, there will be six different walks culminating into one. Each branch of the walk will represent one of the colors of the LGBTI flag, and represent a theme.

UN-GLOBE will be leading the blue walk representing human rights and discrimination!

Last year, approximately 35 UN staff members and allies marched in Pride Suisse Romande, and UN-GLOBE was the largest staff group marching. This year we are hoping to double the number of participants!

We will march with banners, flags, and music. So come join us! Bring your friends and families!

To the extent possible, we’ll try to match those who are driving to Bern, have space in their cars, and are willing to drive others, with those who need a ride.

Get-together in Geneva for women-identified staff, friends, and allies

We will be bowling at Bowling La Praille on Wednesday, August 30 at 6.30PM (10 Route des Jeunes, 1227 Carouge, tel: 022 301 66 63, http://www.bowlingdelapraille.ch/en/).

Reservations have been made for 15 people, so it would be helpful if you could confirm your attendance plus those of your friends in case we need to make room for more!

This event welcomes all women-identified people including trans and gender non-conforming people.

We hope to host regular get-togethers for women-identified staff, friends, and allies in the coming year.

Please note that this event does not replace our regular socials in Geneva on the first Wednesdays of every month.
